Mizoram University invites applications for NON TEACHING Group ‘A’ Posts (Registrar, Librarians, etc) for the year 2010 in Aizwal

Applications are invited for filling up of vacant Non-teaching (Group ‘A’) posts under Mizoram University as tabled vide ANNEXURE – I. The application form and other details can be obtained from Administration – I, Mizoram University, Aizawl and Mizoram University website www.mzu.edu.in

Eligibility:

Registrar:
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.

Finance Officer:
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.
Desirable:

  1. Officers from Organised Accounts Services.
  2. Experience of Finance administration.


Controller of Examinations:

  1. At least 15 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000/- and above or with 8 years’ of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000/- and above
  2. including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR
  3. Comparable experience in research establishments and/or other institutions of higher education, OR
  4. 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
  5. Desirable : Experience of examination administration in universities.

Librarian:

  1. Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent
  2. grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and consistently good academic record;
  3. Deputy Librarian completing service of 3 (three) yrs in the AGP of Rs. 9,000/- in a University Library or College Librarian.
  4. Evidence of innovative library services, published work, professional commitment and computerisation of library.
  5. Desirable : M.Phil/Ph.D Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and manuscript-keeping.

Director(College Development Council):

  1. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade from a recognised University.
  2. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000/- and above or with 8 years’ of service in the GP of Rs. 8900/- and above
  3. including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR
  4. Comparable experience in research establishments or other institutions of higher education, OR
  5. 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or in an equivalent post.
  6. Desirable : Candidates having experience in University administrative system dealing with academic matters.

Note : Any changes in Qualification pursuant to UGC Regulation in this regard will be applicable if the same is notified prior to the Interview.


Application procedure:

  1. Complete application in prescribed form appearing at Annexure – II along with application fee of Rs. 500.00 in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of Registrar,
  2. Mizoram University on State Bank of India, Aizawl. Main Branch may be submitted to the Registrar, Mizoram University, Post Box No. 190, Aizawl, Mizoram – 796
  3. 009. SC, ST and Physically Handicapped applicants are fully exempted from payment of the prescribed fees.
  4. Applications should be supported by relevant documents (attested) in all respects. Applications not supported by documents will be summarily rejected.
  5. Candidates already in service should submit their applications through proper channel. While an advance copy may be sent directly, a No Objection Certificate
  6. (NOC) or duly forwarded application should be produced at the time of interview.
  7. Last date of receipt of complete application is 60 days from the date of the advertisement.
  8. The University reserves the right not to fill any of the post(s). There may be an increase or decrease in the number of posts.
  9. Detailed UGC regulation on service conditions shall be applicable on notification by UGC.
