Indian Institute of Science invites applications for the IISc Summer Fellowship in Science and Engineering for SC/ST Students – 2009.
Eligibility:
Students studying I year M.Sc. in science disciplines (Biological Sciences/Physics, Chemistry/Mathematics) or III year B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree, during the academic year 2008–09.
Selection Criteria:
IISc will evolve a suitable criteria for selecting the candidates for the programme.
Financial Support:
IISc will provide:
– Travelling allowance equivalent to II Class train fare from College/residence to IISc and back.
– Free board and lodging (on shared basis) at IISc.
– Fellowship of Rs 5000/- and a book grant of Rs 1500
Features of the Programme:
Selected students will work with one of the IISc. Faculty members and learn various techniques used in research for a period of one month during May–June 2009.
