CBSE Grading Pattern for Class 10th

No more biasness due to competitiveness. Quite surprising but true, the traditional examination system facilitates competition but also encourages a distinct class system according to the marks of the students.

The Minister for Human Resource Development Mr Kapil Sibbal, whose has initiated to abolish the traditional class 10th examination system created controversy evoking a strong reaction from states, as it was again advocated on a traditional-examination free education system.

”We must move away from the standard text book examination system. You should test the child on the raw knowledge he has,” said Mr Sibal replying to questions at the Social Editors’ Conference here.

Mr Sibal also expressed, “education should be child specific and the education system should be distressed.” .and made a point that the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) would not have 10th board examination from the next academic session but the Ministry could not force this system on state boards and it was for them to take a decision in this regard.

He also told that, “It was high time that the school education system was reoriented and heavy investment in education was made as that was a must to make the country a knowledge economy. Education has to reach to every child and it was with this aim that the Right to Education providing for free elementary education had been enacted and the Government’s next goal was to make the higher secondary education free too” .

It is said that Human Resource Development ministry had started giving sanction to 6000 model school which are to be set up in every corner of the country.

Of the 22 crore children enrolled in primary schools, 50 per cent drop out by the time they reach 10th standard.

”We want that in the next four years, this 50 per cent drop out rate should be brought to zero,” he claimed.
