Eligibility: 10+2 or intermediate examination or PUC of study or an equivalent examination with any two Biology/Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Vocational courses in Agriculture/ Forestry Science.
Admission Procedure:
The students are admitted into B.Tech (Food Sci.) based on their performance in the state level Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Department of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. In the case of selection of candidates for B.V.Sc. & A.H. course a candidate must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together (40% in the case of SC & ST candidates) in the EAMCET.
Course Fee: The following fee are to be paid by a provisionally selected candidate to be admitted into the U. G. Courses in the Colleges of this University for which the tuition fee to be paid by each selected candidate will be Rs. 11,000/- (Rupees eleven thousand only) per semester plus all other fees as applicable to other UG courses as furnished in Annexure: Admission fee, Tuition fees etc. - Rs. 4470/-
Hostel and Mess Deposits and room rent per semester – Rs. 3,680/-
Reservation of Seats: 25% of the seats in B. Sc. (Ag.), courses are reserved for candidates coming from families of Agriculturists actually engaged in and owning not less than 3 acres of land and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in Schools located in Non-Municipal areas.
Age: The candidates for admission to First Year Under-Graduate courses in the University shall be required to have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in case of SC and ST candidates.
