About Anugrah Narayana College:
Anugrah Narayan College, is a constituent unit of Magadh University Bodh Gaya. It was established in the year 1956 and is situated in Patna, the capital city of Bihar,India. It bears the pious name of reverend leader Dr. Anugrah Narayan Sinha, popularly known as “Babu Sahab”, whose patriotism dauntless spirit and progressive ideas have been source of inspiration for the college.
Eligibility:
Age Limit: Candidate should complete the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2009. An applicant must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (10 +2) or its equivalent examination of a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination and in addition must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of such competitive Entrance Examination by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the competitive examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes or any other categories notified by the Government, the marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry and the Biology taken together in qualifying examination and competitive examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.

How To Apply:
Candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course at Jamia Millia Islamia during the academic session 2009-2010 may download the prescribed Application Form along with the Prospectus from the Jamia’s Website http://jmi.nic.in and submitted along with the demand draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of “Jamia Millia Islamia” payable at Delhi/New Delhi Branches. The cost of Prospectus along with the Application Form for the course includes the Entrance exam Fee. No other fee is required to be submitted at the time of submission of the Application Form.
Addmission Procedure:
The admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery course shall be made on the basis of merit determined by the Entrance Exam. Entrance exam shall comprise of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology & Botany) set out of the prescribed syllabi.The syllabus for the Entrance exam is given in Para 16 of this Prospectus and may be downloaded from the Jamia’s Website http://jmi.nic.in. The medium of the Entrance exam will be English. There shall not be any negative marking.

Entrance Exam Details:
Admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course would be done through a written exam, which will be held at various centres in Jamia as per the Admission Schedule. The Centre details for the Entrance exam will be displayed at the Notice Board of the Faculty of Dentistry and will also be notified at the Jamia Website http://jmi.nic.in. All candidates, including candidates for reserved seats, are required to appear at the Entrance exam in accordance with the admission schedule. In case of change in the admission schedule, if any, a notice will be put up on the notice board of the Faculty of Dentistry and also on Jamia Website. No intimation will be sent to the individual candidates. Persons accompanying the candidates are not allowed to enter the Examination Centres. Candidates should bring their own pens, pencils and clip boards/ pads etc. for the written exam. Only those candidates who possess a valid Admit Card shall be permitted to take the Entrance exam.The question booklet and OMR Answer Sheet must be handed over to invigilator before leaving the Examination hall. No page should be torn off the question booklet. Violation of any of instructions or use of unfair means will entail cancellation of the whole Entrance exam of the candidate. The lists of provisionally selected candidates as well as of those who are on the waiting list, for admission will be put on the Notice Board of the Faculty as well as at the Jamia Website as per the admission schedule. Candidates are advised to collect their Admit card for the Entrance exam in person while submitting the Application Form. The candidates sending their Application Forms through Post may contact the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Dentistry along with three coloured photographs, and the receipt issued by the post office for having dispatched the Application Form, for getting their Admit Cards, at least one day in advance of the date of Entrance Exam. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure his/her eligibility before applying for admission. No claim of any sort in this matter shall be entertained. The Syllabus for the Entrance Exam is given in Para 16.0 of this Prospectus, which may be downloaded from Jamia Website http://jmi.nic.in. Applicants are advised to read all the instructions given in the Prospectus carefully before
filling up the Application Form.
